Healthcare, the liberal arguement with Rep Paul Ryan
Sunday, 16 August 2009 15:35

Liberals are very dishonest in trying to use Free Market Competition principles to argue for the government-run single-payer health care system.

Hey Mr President - Fix what's broke first
Tuesday, 11 August 2009 19:21

Fix what's broke first.

Republicans, the party of Abraham, stand for small but effective government to protect the people and maintain a level playing field for business.

Democrats, the party of FDR, stand for equal rights, taking care of and providing for the less fortunate, big government.

Fundamentally both parties have their appealing qualities, the one distinguishing factor is the size of Government. I can't in good conscious vote for a party who's fundamentals are proven ineffective or even destructive time and time again.

Stay out of my life, keep the playing field equal and fair, and sweeping reforms such as health care that has such a large effect on everyone's lives should be voted in by the people not their crooked elected representatives.

Finally, return power to the State and Local Governments, too much has been given up to the federal level.

Google TV ads, power to the little guy!
Monday, 27 July 2009 20:55

Have you heard? Google ad words for TV! This is how it works, you bid on time slots for specific channels, presently limited to Disk Network and select local cable news outlets, if you win your bid your TV advertisement is on the air! You will have to dish out somewhere between 1500-3500 on a commercial, but hey, power to the little guy!

Here's what Google has to say about it's new service "Google TV Ads is a flexible, all-digital system for buying more accountable and measurable TV advertising. Using the familiar AdWords interface, you can launch a TV advertising campaign in minutes.". Think so? Watch and see:

Self Direct IRA, why no hype?
Friday, 24 July 2009 19:43
Recently I've been doing some research on a business plan I'm working up. Some of it involves outside investment by people with the means or presently have an IRA they can move over.

The IRA idea really caught my attention a month ago, what is written explains a self-directed IRA as an investment account you can do pretty much anything you want with. Returns guaranteed only if your investments come through, whether that means buying a house, investing in a neighborhood business, or buying stocks through your personal Scott trade account.

Google Removes SMS from Gmail Labs
Monday, 29 June 2009 14:24
After Google takes two for SMS back on December 10,2008, it appears another hault to the service has been initiated. Here's what Stephen Shankland with cNet News had to say back in December "Google hopes the second time will be a charm for a Gmail Labs feature that lets people send text messages to people's mobile phones with the company's Web-based e-mail service.

"A few weeks back, we ran into a few snags when we first started rolling this out, but starting today you can turn on text messaging for chat," said Leo Dirac, a Google product manager, in a blog post Wednesday.

After the feature's fleeting debut in October, Google removed it to fix a problem where turning the feature on didn't actually fully turn it on. It took a little longer than two weeks, though.

Drive down health care costs by competition
Friday, 19 June 2009 15:46
Great point just made by co-worker, eliminate local politics in deciding which hospitals can build, have blanket law - health care is not subject to normal local zoning issues will create additional competition, driving down costs!!! That's one way to cost effectively start a change! RJ
